We provide a flexible, low cost route for learners who have already achieved management qualifications at a lower level and for learners who do not have management qualifications, but may have qualifications in other areas and/or prior experience in the work place.
 
The Post Graduate Degree in Business Management is a 120 credit size qualification (UK), equivalent in size to one years Post Graduate study.
 
The Post Graduate Diploma in Management have been developed to conform to the requirements of the QCF, to meet the requirements of industry and employers and to meet the needs of learners and to partially fulfill the Fellow membership requirements of the Institute of Management Specialists (UK) and to provide students a pathway to directly enter the second year of a Masters program at a number of UK universities.

Progression Pathways
Students wishing to continue their studies can then enroll directly into the SCPU - Business School - Post Graduate Diploma in Management (OFQUAL Level 7 - 1 Year) or directly into the SCPU - Business School - International Master of Business Administration.
Students who wish to, can apply to continue their studies at a number of UK universities. As these qualifications are OFQUAL approved, UK universities will generally accept the credits awarded to students. At Present there are specific agreements with the following UK universities:

Qualifications/expertise after completing the program

Students successfully completing this programme will be awarded a SCPU - Business School - Post Graduate Degree in Business Management.
 
Students successfully completing this programme will also be awarded an ATHE Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management.

 

Entry requirements

Age: 19 +
For learners who have recently been in education or training the entry profile is likely to include:

  •  a first degree in Business, Management or related subjects or a level 6 qualification for example an ATHE Diploma in Management
  • other equivalent international qualifications.

Learners must also have an appropriate standard of English to enable them to access relevant resources and complete the unit assignments.

Learners may also have relevant work experience.

Mature learners may present a more varied profile of achievement that is likely to include extensive relevant work experience (paid and/or unpaid) with levels of responsibility, participation and/or achievement of a range of relevant professional qualifications. This may be used for recognition of prior learning (RPL).

Please note that UK Visas and Immigration Department (UKVI) requires adult students to have acceptable English language ability before they can apply to become an adult student under Tier 4 (General) of the points-based system. As an education provider you must ensure that the applicant is competent in the English language at a minimum of CEFR level B2 for a qualification at level 6 or above on the RQF.

Admission criteria: 

This program is designed to partially fulfill the Fellow membership requirements of the Institute of Management Specialists (UK) and to provide students a pathway to directly enter the second year of a Masters program at a number of UK universities.

Due to the flexibility of the program it is ideal for students who wish to complete a UK Masters degree, but study in their home country for the first year.

These qualifications are not tied to any specific industry but deliver the skills, knowledge and understanding that meet the needs of managers in different sectors on a domestic and international platform.
