Institute for European Studies (IES) - Vrije Universiteit Brussel

The Institute for European Studies serves as both an academic Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence, as well as a policy think tank, dedicated to furthering research and education in multiple disciplines relating to EU foreign policy and governance within a global setting. Based at Vrije Universiteit Brussel, the IES offers a variety of resources and programmes in efforts to provide relevant and accessible services to policy-makers, scholars, shareholders, and the general public. As both a research-based and academic institution, it boasts four clusters of focused policy-making training, as well as four different higher-education programmes, spanning law, social/political sciences, economics, and communication sciences.
