In the MaastrichtMBA the focus is on responsible leadership and in this context we stimulate you to develop skills to lead yourself, your team and your organisation.

Becoming more aware of your personal motivations, values, qualities, weaknesses, leadership views and challenges gives you a deeper and better insight into your own skills and capabilities, which allows you to develop an authentic leadership style.

In the MaastrichtMBA we take a highly personal approach to learning with Maastricht University's renowned “Problem Based Learning” (PBL) as our leading pedagogy. In small groups we challenge you to interactively acquire knowledge and skills that facilitate reflections on the participants' diverse work experiences. By sharing and reflecting on these experiences you create meaningful new

insights together.

Of course your learning does not stop where classroom conversations end. In the MaastrichtMBA, we stimulate you to go the extra mile. We combine PBL with action and experiential learning, hence academic insights are tightly connected to practice by bringing cases from your own work environment to class. And vice versa: you are expected to actively experiment with newly acquired

knowledge at your workplace.

The MaastrichtMBA is designed around a smart bundle of holistic business themes you can cover in any order. An excellent solution for ambitious professionals who sometimes just need to prioritise work above study. For each module that comes along, simply choose whether you will join it or not. As long as you complete all educational weeks in the end, anything goes!

Course format:

The MaastrichtMBA tries to accommodate working professionals in the best way possible. This is why the programme is designed in a modular format with four educational weeks each year, with classes from Monday till Friday. This is why we ask for an average time commitment of 15 to 20 hours per week. This is also why you are allowed to spread your total study load over a minimum of two and a maximum of four years.

Alongside face-to-face interactions, the MaastrichtMBA's virtual learning environment - supported by Apple's iPads and iOS - serves to maintain your study rythm anytime, anywhere. By closely connecting the in-class sessions with online learning activities, the programme offers a practical, blended learning approach to management education.

Course cost description:

Total costs for joining the MaastrichtMBA are € 28,500. These costs include the tuition fees of all programme components, costs for books, iPad and other study materials, catering during the educational weeks, such as lunches, dinners and coffee breaks, and accommodation costs related to the international week. The sum does not include travelling costs. Accommodation costs for the inbound and outbound modules are also not included.

In the MaastrichtMBA tuition fees by default are equally allocated over the educational components of the programme, hence you are being invoiced as you go. No attendance thus means no invoice and fees automatically get spread over the time of your study, no matter if you spend two years on your study or the maximum of four years.

Please keep in mind that tax authorities can compensate for a considerable part of the educational costs you make. As a Dutch resident, tuition fees and other study-related expenses are tax-deductible. Click here to find out more. If you reside abroad, please check with the tax authorities in your country of residence to explore your options.

Application cost description:

The fee for applying to the MaastrichtMBA programme amounts to € 200 and covers the handling costs of your application dossier. The fee will be invoiced to the stated invoice address and is unrelated to the final decision by the MBA Admission Committee.
