The Master Degree in International Relations and Diplomacy combines problem solving, structural analysis, project development and management with a comprehensive theoretical and critical examination of the political, cultural, legal, and socio-economic practices that make up our increasingly interdependent and complex world. Drawing from multiple fields including finance, law, history, philosophy, and theology, this program is decidedly interdisciplinary. A diverse faculty of seasoned practitioners represents and reflects the cross-cutting issues and interests that inform international relations today.

The University's guest lecture series and simulation exercises also add a unique dimension to the program. Delivered and conducted by experienced working diplomats and professionals in international development and business, these complementary curricular support activities
enable Schiller International University's students to break out of the classroom and gain hands-on experience even as they explore internship opportunities or network with potential employers.

The program also encompasses study visits to international organizations.

Course format: 

Schiller provides interesting options for students interested in an international education and studying in Paris or other cosmopolitan cities. The flexible feature of our University's academic model is that it operates on a four-month semester system. Within 1 semester students complete 4 courses, the duration of each course being one month. Undergraduate students are required to complete 40 courses (120 credits) in order to obtain a Bachelor´s Degree. Graduate students are required to complete 12 courses in order to obtain a Master's Degree. Students who transfer in credits from other institutions will complete their studies faster and MBA students who require preparatory courses may take a little longer.
 

Students of high academic standing may be allowed to take additional classes, but most students complete 12 credits every 4 months. Students decide whether to take a break or to enroll immediately for the next 4 month session. Each student decides how fast he/she wants to complete the degree.

Entry requirements

To apply to the University, you would need to send, via courier or post, to the Paris campus:

- your academic transcripts (the originals sent by your previous academic institution) and certified copies of your diploma
- a completed application form that you may download from website
- a copy of your passport, TOEFL/ IELTS for non-native English speakers

- the application fee (50 €)

Course cost description: 

For a Graduate program, a semester (4 courses):

                        4 * 1,660 € tuition fees + 4 * 40 € cultural activities = 6, 800 € for one semester (4 months)
 

Books and living expenses are not included.
At Schiller, you can earn a scholarship which can cover 15% of the tuition fees. It is on a course by course basis, up to 6 courses for graduate programs, 20 courses for undergraduate programs.
To apply for a scholarship, you need to just write a letter explaining why you feel you are eligible for the scholarship, provide whatever supporting documentation to justify it and send it with your Application File. 
You also have the right to work in France during your studies. The law allows students to work 20 hours per week or 964 hours in a given year, which corresponds to 60% of full-time employment for the year.
