Taught completely in English, Global Development and Entrepreneurship offers you the necessary tools to interact with international markets, in particular, those that are emerging, and to support the processes of business growth in an international context, you will be directly confronted by entrepreneurs and managers of both Italian and foreign companies. You can develop in an international context by choosing a double diploma with l'École Management Strasbourg.
The course will also provide study grants for going into the world of work, thanks to the Luciano Iglesias Foundation.
This Master's Degree programme offers an interdisciplinary course, aimed to deepen the peculiarities of the Global Development processes integrating economic, mathematics and statistics, legal, geographical and cultural knowledge, necessary to interact with international markets, paying particular attention to the emerging ones.
The curricula aim to train experts in the analysis of globalization of markets and the status of international economies, ready to support the processes of entrepreneurial growth through managerial and financial training, capable of combining culture and economy of development and internationalization.
The programme is formed by seminars and other cultural and educational activities with entrepreneurs and directors of Italian and foreign companies, with the aim to promote the development, within international networks, of excellence present in the territorial and corporate systems in the north-east of the country.
The programme provides scholarships for entering into the labour market thanks to the Luciano Iglesias Foundation.
The educational activities include classroom teaching, experts' contributions, case studies analysis, workshops and internships (in Italy and abroad), in order to acquire wide-ranging skills that can be readily transferable into the world of work.
During the whole university career, the various skills and knowledge acquired by students will be assessed through written and oral examinations.
The degree exam consists in writing a thesis, which must possess the characters of originality, exhaustive documentation and scientific investigation and which will be discussed with a committee of university professors and experts.

Graduates in this Master's Degree Programme may be employed as experts in international markets, foreign sales managers, export managers, managers in charge of business accounting, finance and control, global players, venture capitalists, entrepreneurs.
Entry qualification: Bachelor diploma (or higher)
For Academic year 2018/19, admission onto the Master's Degree programme in Global Development and Entrepreneurship requires:
- specific curricula requirements, matured with the obtainment of a definite number of credits in certain disciplinary fields.
- an adequate personal preparation;
- understanding of english language at level B2: process of verification and cases of exemption are indicated in the dedicated web page. Each understanding will be verified by the office at the moment of matriculation.
Admission to the programme is subjected to the evaluation of the minimum curricular requirements and personal preparation, which is checked through the pre-evaluation procedure.
For students holding qualifications gained abroad: a minimum three-year degree is required.
The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English / Italian.
You will need official translations along with verified copies of the original documents.
The official translation can be issued in the country of origin or in Italy - either by a local court of law, by court interpreters or by official translators. The entry qualification documents must also be legalised or bear the Apostille stamp certifying that the signature or seal on the document is genuine, and submitted in the original or certified copy.
You do not need to legalise the documents if:
- the qualification has been awarded by one of the signatory Countries of the European Convention of Brussels of 25 May, 1987 - Law 106/1990 (Belgium, Denmark, France, Ireland, Italy);
- the qualification has been awarded by a German institution, following the Italo-German Convention on the exemption from legalization of public documents - Law 176/1973.
You must bring the original entry qualification documents along with you when you finally go to the university.
B2 level of English language is also required.

Admission to an open access Master's Degree course does not involve a selection process. However, you are required to have an adequate personal preparation and hold specific requisites. In this case, the Teaching Committee of reference will carry out an assessment.
A certified knowledge of English at minimum level B2 is also required.

In addition, Ca' Foscari offers students a variety of forms of financial aid: scholarships, exemptions and reduction of fees, student loans, prizes for outstanding dissertations and other forms of concession.
Some of the student loans involve agreements with banks allowing students to pay tuition fees on favourable terms. The most deserving students are entitled to an interest-free advance repayable a year after graduation.
Students are also given the opportunity to participate in forms of student collaborations involving paid jobs within the university.
