This Master's degree programme provides you with a wide range of skills as well as economic and managerial knowledge with particular attention to creating long term added value (sustainability) in the typical sectors of Made in Italy. It gives opportunity to do an internship during your studies.

Do you want to work in a SME (small medium-sized enterprise) or as a freelance consultant focusing your studies on corporate and sustainability issues? Choose this Master's degree course in Economics and Business Management and you can have the opportunity to carry out an internship or a business experience through active training projects.

You will be able to apply for a double degree with the École Supėrieure de Commerce de Paris-Europe (if you have completed the Bachelor's at Ca Foscari in Economics and Business).

This Master's Degree programme provides understanding and skills for business management, with particular attention to the typical sectors of Made in Italy, for the transformation of the Italian economy and confronts the topics of sustainability.
The international curriculum aims to provide the essential managerial skills for international growth of a new generation of medium-sized global enterprises.
The academic offer covers a wide spectrum of topics, from international management to marketing, to international economics to the right to work, emphasizing the lessons of business cases with particular interest on the typical sectors of Made in Italy. 
The educational activities include classroom teaching, workshops and internships, in order to acquire wide-ranging skills that can be readily transferable into the world of work.
During the whole university career, the various skills and knowledge acquired by students will be assessed through written and oral examinations.    
The degree exam consists in writing a thesis, which must possess the characters of originality, exhaustive documentation and scientific investigation and which will be discussed with a committee of university professors and experts.

 

Qualifications/expertise after completing the program

The Master's Degree graduates will be able to apply for the following positions: sustainability manager, area manager, export manager, general manager of a foreign branch, responsible for international operations and projects and systems regarding the expansion and activation of new markets, general manager in italian companies and italian national branches, management consultant.

Entry requirements

 Entry qualification : Bachelor diploma (or higher)

The Master's Degree programme is of limited access and require, as well as the possession of adequate personal preparation and specific curricula requirements, taking and passing a selective test.

Enrolment is based on the position of the candidate on the ranking list.

Certified understanding of English language at B2 is also required, to be shown at the moment of enrolment. Process of verification and cases of exemption are indicated in the specific section. This knowledge will be checked ex officio at the time of enrollment.

Admission criteria: 

Admission to the programme is subjected to the evaluation of the minimum curricular requirements and personal preparation, which is checked through the admission test.
Moreover, certified knowledge of the English language at least at B2 level is required.
For the English-taught curriculum, knowledge of English language must be obtained at enrolment, otherwise the student will not be allowed to enrol.
For the Italian-taught curriculum, students who do not attest knowledge of the English language at enrolment will be allowed to enrol with a B1 level, but will be asked to obtain the B2 level before graduation.

B2 level is required only for the Italian-taught curriculum.
As proof of Italian language level we accept the following international exams:

  • CELI
  • CERT.IT
  • CILS
  • PLIDA

Please notice that students lacking suitable certification in Italian will have to take a preliminary Italian language test, held every academic year at the beginning of September.

The following students do not need to submit evidence of Italian language proficiency: Italian mother-tongue students, EU students (wherever resident), non-EU students who have been living in Italy for at least a year.

English
Italian-taught curricula:
B2 level of English language is required for both curricula.
We accept the following international exams:

  • IELTS 4.0-5.0
  • TOEFL iBT 57-86

Please notice that students lacking certification in English will be required to fulfill the requirement in the first year of studies.

Specific requirements for Non-EU applicants:
For NON-EU students residing outside Europe, the admission test will consist of participating in an interview with our Professors via Skype in order to verify the entry requirements and also the motivational and cultural skills acquired.

  • Non-EU students from developing countries (http://www.unive.it/): 700€
  • Students from all other countries: 1200€

In addition, Ca' Foscari offers students a variety of forms of financial aid: scholarships, exemptions and reduction of fees, student loans, prizes for outstanding dissertations and other forms of concession.
Some of the student loans involve agreements with banks allowing students to pay tuition fees on favourable terms. The most deserving students are entitled to an interest-free advance repayable a year after graduation.  
Students are also given the opportunity to participate in forms of student collaborations involving paid jobs within the university.
