This Master's degree course allows you to specialise in these fields, acquiring useful skills to operate as a responsible administrative or financial manager, and also as a controller, internal auditor, and risk manager. In depth study of the legal field also guarantees the skills necessary for the management of extraordinary finance operations and the exercise of professional services.
With regard to the latter, thanks to the agreement with the Ordine dei Commercialisti ed Esperti Contabili, you can start professional training during the second year, and you will have exemption from the first test at the State Exam. Moreover, thanks to the agreement with the Ordine dei Consulenti del Lavoro di Vicenza, you can carry out the professional training during the second year.  

This Master's Degree Programme produces experts in accounting data, planning management control systems, setting out finance strategies and auditing business risk. Depending on the curriculum chosen, different aspects relating to the profession or the internal business management are investigated.

The educational activities include classroom teaching, workshops and internships, in order to acquire wide-ranging skills that can be readily transferable into the world of work.
During the whole university career, the various skills and knowledge acquired by students will be assessed through written and oral examinations.
The degree exam consists in writing a thesis, which must possess the characters of originality, exhaustive documentation and scientific investigation and which will be discussed with a committee of university professors and experts.

 

Qualifications/expertise after completing the program

Master's degree students are able to work inside a business, whether national or multinational, and within a public administration in the function intended by the administration, in finance companies and control managements. Furthermore, students are able to be involved in consultation firms and develop their chosen profession. Thanks to the two conventions:

  • Convention with the Order of Chartered Accountants
    The Convention with the Order of Chartered Accountants allows students on the Accounting and Finance Master's Degree programme (Administrative Consultation) to be excluded from taking the first written exam for the state exam that allows admission to the Association of Certified Public Accountants - to section B for Bachelor's Degree students, to section A for Master's Degree students. Furthermore, the Convention allows students to be able to carry out and count on 6 months of Professional Placement as 6 months of the 18 required of the internship before taking the state exam during the last year of the degree.
  • Convention with the Order of Employment Consultants of Vicenza
    The Convention with the Order of Employment Consultants of Vicenza offers students in the last year of the Department of Management, enrolled in the Accounting and Finance Master's Degree programme (Administrative Consultation) to become members as apprentices, already anticipating thus, in the limits of a semester, the professional placement in a an Employment Consultancy office, that will allow students to conclude after graduation.

Entry requirements

Entry qualification : Bachelor diploma (or higher)

The Master's Degree programmes in Accounting and Finance, in Economics and Business Management, in Management and in Marketing and Communication are of limited access and require, as well as the possession of adequate personal preparation and specific curricula requirements, taking and passing a selective test.
Certified understanding of English language at B2 is also required, to be shown at the moment of enrolment. Process of verification and cases of exemption are indicated in the specific section. This knowledge will be checked ex officio at the time of enrollment.

Admission criteria: 

Admission to the programme is subjected to the evaluation of the minimum curricular requirements and personal preparation, which is checked through the admission test.
For students holding qualifications gained abroad: a minimum three-year degree is required.
Moreover, certified knowledge of the English language at least at B2 level is required.
For the English-taught curriculum, knowledge of English language must be obtained at enrolment, otherwise the student will not be allowed to enrol.
For the Italian-taught curriculum, students who do not attest knowledge of the English language at enrolment will be allowed to enrol with a B1 level, but will be asked to obtain the B2 level before graduation.

Language requirements:    

Italian
B2 level is required only for the Italian-taught curriculum.
As proof of Italian language level we accept the following international exams:

  • CELI
  • CERT.IT
  • CILS
  • PLIDA

 

Please notice that students lacking suitable certification in Italian will have to take a preliminary Italian language test, held every academic year at the beginning of September.

The following students do not need to submit evidence of Italian language proficiency: Italian mother-tongue students, EU students (wherever resident), non-EU students who have been living in Italy for at least a year.

English
Italian-taught curricula:
B2 level of English language is required for both curricula.
We accept the following international exams:

  • TOEFL iBT 57-86

 

Please notice that students lacking certification in English will be required to fulfill the requirement in the first year of studies.

English-taught curricula:
B2 level is required.
As proof of English language level we accept the following international exams:

In order to enrol in limited admission degree programmes students must first pass a selection procedure. Successful applicants will be included in a Selection List.     
Admission to this degree programme is subjected to an entry test aiming at evaluating the minimum curricular requirements and personal preparation.     

Specific requirements for Non-EU applicants:
For NON-EU students residing outside Europe, the admission test will consist of participating in an interview with our Professors via Skype in order to verify the entry requirements and also the motivational and cultural skills acquired.

  • Non-EU students from developing countries (http://www.unive.it/): 700€
  • Students from all other countries: 1200€

In addition, Ca' Foscari offers students a variety of forms of financial aid: scholarships, exemptions and reduction of fees, student loans, prizes for outstanding dissertations and other forms of concession.
Some of the student loans involve agreements with banks allowing students to pay tuition fees on favourable terms. The most deserving students are entitled to an interest-free advance repayable a year after graduation.  
Students are also given the opportunity to participate in forms of student collaborations involving paid jobs within the university.
