Being ahead of the developement process and using creative thinking to answer complex questions are the purpose of marketing management. This is enabled by a superior repertoire of knowledge.
Constructed on the first professional degree, the Marketing Management programme (M.A.) conveys core competencies based on knowledge and practice-oriented.
During the Master, you will continue to learn about international, interdisciplinary and communication-specific aspects of marketing. After having gathered the required details, the students will focus on strategic and conceptual works. The objective is to become a marketing generalist, who is able to deals with specific market issues by crossing high-level marketing solutions.
The Marketing Management programme is divided into four semesters, in which you find all the qualifications needed to hold a managing position in the field of international marketing. The master highlights five spheres of competences.
Among them, the leadership competencies ant the preparation of analysis and strategic tasks such as problematisation and market segmentation. The master will also deal with operationnal perspectives and marketing-mix tools.
Representatives of famous agencies and multinational affiliated groups are involved in the master process. After different projects and practice-oriented learning methodes, the work placement is an important real-life expérience. This practical module is completed after the first semester, and summer school in the Ecole Supérieure du Commerce Extérieur, Paris, after the second semester.
A marketing project, or rather internship, is planned after the third semester. Content and case studies are taught mostly in English by international academics. All the procedures that will enable you to enter a multinational agency or company at the end of your studies are at stake.
Qualifications/expertise after completing the program
Even the best products are meaningless without marketing. To be kept on notice on the market, the product must have the right positioning with the right price and at the right place. As a marketing generalist, you can work either in an agency or a company. By combining useful strategic and operational know-how, you will be able to launch a product or a service with success. The Master of Arts (M.A.) enables you to go on to complete your Ph.D. studies leading to a doctorate, possibly as a requirement for a teaching or research position at universities and other institutions.
Students must meet the following requirements to qualify for the master's degree program:
- Applications are open until september for the winter semester, until march for the summer semester
- Completion of a Bachelor's degree, a German Diplom or Magister
- Final grade of “Good”, otherwise a letter of recommendation from the previous university
- Focus on business within your previous studies
- Language Tests
- Interview partly in English
The admission procedure for the master´s degree program at BiTS consists of an interview (partly in English) with the program manager. Your language skills will be tested within the interview.
