Get an in-depth understanding of the retail industry, gaining the insight and management skills you need for a rewarding career in this most fascinating sector.Guest speakers, trade visits and exhibition trips will give you a deeper understanding of the industry, and there's even the option to take part in our work placement scheme.

Course Structure

You'll examine 6 of the most fundamental and pertinent topics in fashion retail and luxury management, from branding to store location, and new technology to globalisation. The course will culminate in a final project, allowing you to bring all your knowledge together and focus on an area that you're particularly interested in.

The first semester will give you an overview of marketing and branding in fashion, as well as addressing some key issues in more detail. Semester 2 will then see a more practical approach, as what you've learnt from the first half of the course is put to the test.

Essentials and Principals of Fashion Marketing and Luxury Brand Management Innovative tactics of fashion e-tailing: The application of new technology and its impact on supply chain

Sustainable Fashion Branding Brand Globalisation
Fashion Marketing and Retailing in the Luxury sector: Store location and visual merchandising Professional practise in the luxury brand (Internship focus module)
Final Major Project

Entry requirements

  • UK undergraduate degree or equivalent - any subject area
  • English levels 5.5 IELTS (5.5 in all bands) or equivalent*
  • Relevant work experience is an asset, but no work experience is required

Students who fail to meet academic requirements can be assessed on their relevant work experience (5 years management experience minimum for mature study route)
