The Master Finance & Management (M. Sc.)  offers a theoretical and practical formation of management. The programme will give you the opportunity to become a junior manager in firms of all sizes and from all the sectors related to the field of consulting, such as banks and supervisory bodies.
 

The four-semester programme Finance and Management (M. Sc) includes the sphere of competence of Finance, accounting & taxation, controlling and soft skills.
The skills you will develop in finance lead to managerial positions (leadership in management of finance). The course contains Advanced Corporate Finance, Financial Value Management and Structured Finance. The main activity is the regulation of capital market, Financial communication and Financial restructuring.
Accounting & Taxation will  provide you with all you need you to analyse and assess the internal process of a firm. In these field of study, the core subject will be Advanced Accounting & Taxation, International Regulation and Auditing & Business Evaluation. In order to improve your practical skills, case studies in collaboration with auditing companies and consulting firms.
 
The controlling will study planning and regulation aspects of the process. It deals with Corporate & Organizational Planning, Risk/Return Management, Group Controlling and Sustainability Controlling.
 
With Soft Skills, you widen your specific fields of competence by dealing with management, personnalization and research methodes. In addition, we will train you to key-abilities and relevant management skills with our lectures at the Assessment Center. In connexion with your first-semester studies, you will in the next semester complete a module in an International Summer school, preferably in Chicago. The programme ends with a Master Thesis written during the fourth semester. Before the end of your thesis, you will complete an intership in a company.
 
The programme allows student initiatives. Thanks to flexible schedule, you can have a work placement and study at the same time. All kind of professional experience will benefit to your formation and will prepare your career in Finance & Management. More details are available on our website.

Our Graduates'profiles are adapted to Planning, Organizing and Controlling positions in Finance, Audit, Controlling and consulting companies. Furthermore, the programme leads to a quick promotion to a position of auditor or accountant.

Entry requirements

Students must meet the following requirements to qualify for the master's degree program:

  • Applications are open until september for the winter semester, until march for the summer semester
  • Completion of a Bachelor's degree, a German Diplom or Magister
  • Final grade of “Good”, otherwise a letter of recommendation from the previous university
  • Focus on business within your previous studies
  • Language Tests
  • Interview partly in English

Admission criteria: 

The admission procedure for the master´s degree program at BiTS consists of an interview (partly in English) with the program manager. Your language skills will be tested within the interview.
